Two (02) persons arrested at Mannar railway station with ICE

The Navy combined with the Division Vice Squad Mannar arrested a couple with 923g of drug ICE at the Mannar railway station on 21^st May.

Accordingly, a group of naval personnel attached to the North Central Naval Command combined with the Division Vice Squad Mannar arrested a couple (male and female) for possessing drug ICE, during a search conducted at Mannar railway station. The arrest was made while the drugs, contained in two parcels, were made ready to be transported to Colombo by train. The arrested persons are residents of Thalaimannar, aged 23 and 35.

The arrested persons along with drugs were handed over to Mannar Police for onward investigation.
