Suspect busted for selling illegal cigarettes

Naval personnel in coordination with STF personnel arrested a person with 08 packets of illegal cigarettes during a search conducted yesterday 27^th May.

A group of naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command together with STF personnel in Jaffna arrested the suspect for selling illegal cigarettes, during a search conducted in the village of Udayapuram. Eight (08) packets of cigarettes in his possession were also found during the arrest.

The suspect has been identified as a 34 year old resident of the same village. Jaffna Police is conducting further investigation into the incident.
