Navy renders assistance to extinguish fire erupted at house in Welisara

The Navy firefighters managed to extinguish a sudden fire erupted at a house in Mahabage, Welisara today (19^th June).

In response to a distress call received from the Mahabage Police of a fire broke out at a house in the area, the Navy promptly sent out a team of 15 naval personnel attached to SLNS Gemunu along with 01 fire engine and 02 water bowsers to extinguish the flames.

After a strenuous effort, the Navy firefighters managed to douse the fire triggered by an electrical spark.
