Navy yachtsmen record a number of wins at Trinco Blu Sailing Regatta
The Trinco Blu Sailing Regatta hosted by the Royal Colombo Yacht Club (RCYC) was held in the alluring waters off Trinco Blu by Cinnamon, Trincomalee on 28th and 29th June 2019.
The sailing regatta which drew a large number of both local and foreign tourists was contested by 70 sailors along with 55 yachts, representing a number of sailing clubs including the Navy Sailing Club, Ceylon Motor Yacht Club, Royal Ceylon Yacht Club, and budding sailors from the Royal College in Colombo and St. Thomas’ College in Mt. Lavinia. During a range of events held as part of the competition, the following yachtsmen of the Navy took major honours securing 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
