Sri Lanka Navy granted interest free loans worth Rs. 500,000 each to another forty nine (49) senior sailors during a simple ceremony presided over by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva at the Naval Headquarters today (10^th july). The financial allocation of Rs. 24.5 million utilized for the above purpose was provided by the Naval Benefit Foundation.

As a vigilant force to ensure the security in the territorial waters of the island and its coastal line, Sri Lanka Navy apprehended 11 persons who engaged in illegal acts in Eastern Naval Command, on 9^th July 2019
