Anuradhapura Regional Office of the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau built with Naval assistance declared open

Anuradhapura Regional Office of the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau built at the District Secretariat premises, was vested upon the general public today (17th July 2019).

Accordingly, the new building constructed by the navy at District Secretariat for the office of Geological Survey and Mines Bureau was declared open by Anuradhapura District Secretary Mr. RM Wanninayake and Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva. The labour for this construction work was provided by the Naval personnel. Admiring the Navy's contribution, the Commander of the Navy was presented a memento by the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau.

Reverend Maha Sanga, the Chairman Geological Survey and Mines Bureau Mr Asela Iddawela, Director General Geological Survey and Mines Bureau Dr.CHER Siriwardena, Commanding Officer SLNS Pandukabhaya Captain Sumithra Fonseka, Officials of Geological Survey and Mines Bureau and naval officers were present on the occasion.
