Navy finds a claymore mine at Chawakachcheri

Naval personnel found a claymore mine at Nagar kovil area in Chawakachcheri on 22 July 2019.

Accordingly, naval personnel attached to Northern Naval Command found a live claymore mine near a culvert at Aludumattuvaal area during a search carried out in Nagarkovil. For further investigation, the incident was informed to the Point Pedro Police.

This claymore mine is suspected to be abandoned by during the time of confrontation.
