Navy renders assistance for conduct of ‘Pichcha Mal Pooja’ in Anuradhapura

Sri Lanka Navy rendered its assistance for the conduct of ‘Pichcha Mal Pooja’ (offering of Jasmine flowers) held at the Ruwanweli Maha Seya on 27^th July 2019 and deployed lifesaving teams for the safety of devotees who attended the event.

The annual pinkama organized by Shanthi Foundation for the 30^th time was attended by a large number of devotees. Under the directives of Commander North Central Naval Area, the proceedings of the ceremony were assisted by a large group of naval personnel. Further, the Navy deployed lifesaving teams and boats at 04 tanks in Anuradhapura, for the safety of devotees who came to bath in them.
