A suspect apprehended with banned nets set for sale

SL Navy combined with Sri Lanka Police apprehended a suspect with 03 unauthorized fishing nets, at Kinniya in Trincomalee on 7^th August 2019.

Accordingly, these banned nets which were set for sale in a stores, were found during a raid carried out at Kinniya area by Eastern Naval Command in coordination with the Kinniya Police. The owner of the stores aged 26 and a resident of the same area, was also apprehended.

The apprehended nets along with the suspect were handed over to Kinniya Police for onward action.
