Navy recovers a hand grenade in Veththalakerni area

A hand grenade was recovered by Navy during a raid carried out in Veththalakerni area, on 14^th August 2019.

Accordingly, this hand grenade belongs to HE 36 category, was recovered during a raid carried out by Northern Naval Command in Veththalakerni area. It is suspected that this hand grenade had been abandoned during the humanitarian operation. The recovered hand grenade was handed over to 553th Brigade Headquarters of SL Army, for further investigation.
