Renovated Day Care Centre at Vavuniya District General Hospital, declared open

The Day Care Centre at Vavuniya District General Hospital, renovated by SL Navy, was declared open by the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, today (12th September 2019).

Accordingly, this Day Care Centre was renovated by North Central Naval Command as another social responsibility project of SL Navy, with the supervision of Commander North Central Naval Area Rear Admiral Sudath Kurukulasooriya, under the directives of Commander of the Navy.

This Day Care Centre is catered to provide the protection for the children of the hospital staff. The Commander of the Navy including the whole Navy was heartily thanked and paid their appreciation by the hospital staff for the Navy’s contribution in renovation work. The Commander of the Navy also planted a mango sapling in the Day Care Centre premises to mark this event.

District Secretary of Vavuniya, Commander North Central Naval Area, Commanding Officer SLNS Pandukabhaya Captain Sumithra Fonseka, Hospital staff , officers and sailors of North Central Naval Command were also present on this occasion.
