Navy assists to haul out 02 motorbikes plunged into water at Uragasmanhandiya

The Navy rendered assistance to pull 02 motorbikes plunged into water at the Horawala ferry port in Uragasmanhandiya today (18th September).

Six (06) passengers and two (02) motorbikes had fell into water following a ferry boat accident at Horawala. The passengers had been rescued by the residents in the area and the Uragasmanhandiya Police sought naval assistance to haul out the 02 motorbikes. Accordingly, a team of Navy divers attached to the Southern Naval Command was sent out to the location for assistance.

Having recovered the two motorbikes by the diving team, they were handed over to the Uragasmanhandiya Police.
