Sri Lanka Navy becomes a finalist in The Maritime Standard Awards 2019
The Sri Lanka Navy has been selected as a ‘Corporate Social Responsibility Award Finalists’ in The Maritime Standard Awards (TMS) – 2019.
This year’s Maritime Standard Awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on 21st October 2019 at the Atlantis, the Palm, Dubai, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum President, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group. The event in which a host of high profile and well known international personalities are expected to take centre stage is organized by Flagship Events LLC.
Being a professional, robust and resilient outfit with an able human capital, Sri Lanka Navy undertakes Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects to uplift the living standards of the general public.
Over the years the Navy, has been very successful in execution of its CSR projects which include installation of Reverse Osmosis plants, provision of desferrioxamine vaccinate machines for Thalassemia patients, organization of medical camps for people in remote areas, flood relief activates, assistance to distressed fisheries community, promotion of Green and Blue drive among the community etc.
