Navy assists to apprehend person with Kerala cannabis

The Navy in coordination with the Divisional Vice Squad of Mannar apprehended a person with Kerala cannabis in Eluththoor area, Mannar today (23^rd September 2019).

Accordingly, the North Central Naval Command with the assistance of Divisional Vice Squad of Mannar conducted a raid in Eluththoor area, Mannar and apprehended this person with 50g of Kerala cannabis in his possession. The apprehension was made when the suspect was attempting to sell cannabis. The accused is a resident of Thalpadu area in Mannar, aged 19.

The apprehended suspect along with seized Kerala cannabis was handed over the Mannar Police for onward investigation. The Navy is conducting continuous operations to nab drug traffickers as well as persons for possessing such substances.
