Two (02) unauthorized fishing nets found by Navy

During search operations carried out in the general area of Mohuththuwaram, Verugal and Erakkandi beach area on 03^rd October 2019, the Navy recovered 02 unauthorized fishing nets.

The Eastern Naval Command during search operations conducted in the general area of Mohuththuwaram and Erakkandi beach area found these 02 unauthorized fishing nets together with a dinghy and several other fishing gear. The recovered items were handed over to the Assistant Directorate of Fisheries of Trincomalee for further investigation.
