Navy assists apprehension of 02 persons with Kerala cannabis

The Navy with the assistance of the Police apprehended 02 persons for possessing Kerala cannabis at Ambapuram in Mulankavil on 09^th October 2019.

Accordingly, the North Central Naval Command in coordination with the Mulankavil Police conducted a search in the general area of Ambapuram and spotted 02 suspicious persons on the road. The 02 suspects had 22.56g of Kerala cannabis in their possession, when searched. Subsequently, they were apprehended and the suspects have been identified as residents of Mulankavil, aged 33.

The Mulankavil Police is conducting further investigation into the incident. The Navy has been doing a significant role to curb drug peddling and has apprehended a number of suspects for possessing narcotics, across the island.
