SLNS Tissa proudly celebrates its 62nd anniversary

SLNS Tissa belonging to the Eastern Naval Command proudly celebrated its 62nd anniversary on 15^th October 2019.

The anniversary celebrations had been organized under the directives of the Executive Officer of the base, Commander Suranga Paranavithana and the arrangements had been well executed by the ship’s company, giving prominence to religious events. After inspecting the morning divisions, the Executive Officer also addressed the crew attached to the establishment.

The series of anniversary celebrations came to a close following the traditional meal partaking of ‘Barakana’ held with the participation of officers and sailors.
