Navy assists to hold a drug trafficker

Navy apprehended a drug trafficker during a raid carried out in coordination with Police STF, in Madawachchiya area, on 29^th October 2019.

Accordingly, during a raid carried out in Madawachchiya area by North Central Naval Command in coordination with Police STF-Settikulam, a suspicious person who was walking along the road, had been observed and by further search 100g of Kerala Cannabis was found in his possession. The suspect was carrying this KG for sale and he was apprehended.

The suspect had been identified as a resident of same area aged 46. The recovered amount of KG and the suspect were handed over to Madawachchiya Police for further investigation.
