Navy hands over CG410 to Coast Guard after major refit

Sri Lanka Navy handed over CG410 to the Sri Lanka Coast Guard during a brief function organized along with the launching of craft at the dockyard slipway, Trincomalee on 17th November 2019.

Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Merril Wickramasinghe graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Major work of the project scope included; removal of entire thick paint coating, re-plating damaged and dented hull area, overhauling engines, installation of new radar, installation of new GPS, etc.

Notably, the craft underwent a major refit after 30 years since acquisition from, Israel in 1988.
