JMSDF Ship “DD-102 Harusame” departs port of Trincomalee

“DD-102 Harusame” belonging to the Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) departed the port of Trincomalee today (12th December 2019), on completion of a three-day official visit. The JMSDF Ship arrived in Trincomalee on 10th December.

The Sri Lanka Navy bade customary farewell to the departing ship in accordance with naval traditions and a group of officers attached to the Eastern Naval Command was also present on this occasion.

During her stay in Trincomalee, the crew of the ship visited several places at the Naval Dockyard and tourist attraction in Trincomalee. They also engaged in a beach clean-up programme conducted at Dutch Bay on 11th December. Further, the crew of DD-102 Harusame took part in several programmes organized by Sri Lanka Navy, in a bid to strengthen mutual relationship among naval personnel of both countries
