Navy assists apprehension of 02 suspects with heroin

The Navy apprehended 02 suspects with heroin, during a coordinated raid conducted with the Police at Menik Farm in Settikulam on 06^th February 2020.

The Navy has been able to bring a number of drug smugglers to justice, during successful anti-drug operations conducted in a bid to keep a tight rein on smuggling of drugs. While conducting a coordinated raid with the Police STF of Settikulam in Menik Farm, the Navy intercepted a suspicious motorbike and found 1g and 08mg of heroin in the possession of the 02 persons on the motorbike. Accordingly, the 02 suspects were apprehended along with the motorbike.

The accused have been identified as residents of the same area, aged 19 and 20. Meanwhile, the Settikulam Police is conducting further investigation into the incident.
