Foundation stone laid for RO plant in Panama

Under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, a foundation stone for a Reverse Osmosis plant to be established at Sri Bodhirukkarama Temple in Panama has been laid by Commander Southeastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Senarath Wijesooriya on 24th February 2020.

With financial allocations of the government the Navy is slated to throw its technical know-how and manpower behind the establishment of this RO plant which will provide safe drinking water requirement of the residents who are deprived of such a facility. The occasion was attended by a large number of public in the area.

Being a key player of the national endeavour to prevent the kidney disease from country, the Navy will continue to establish more RO plants in areas where high prevalence of kidney disease is recorded.
