Navy conducts road cleaning campaign at Mannar

SL Navy conducted a cleaning campaign to clean the roadsides of the way runs from Mannar hospital junction to Eluvatoor junction, on 29th February 2020.

Accordingly, under the Green and blue environment concept of Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, Naval Personnel attached to the North Central Naval Command conducted this cleaning campaign to remove garbage scattered at either side of main road from Mannar Hospital junction to Eluvatoor junction. Forty five (45) naval personnel and 20 civil workers from Mannar Municipal Council participated in the cleaning programme.

Meanwhile, the contribution of Sri Lanka Navy for this noteworthy initiative was commended by the chief incumbent of Mathota temple and the priest of the St. Sebastian church-Mannar who visited the road cleaning venue.
