Russian Navy ship ‘Admiral Vinogradov’ leaves port of Colombo

Russian Navy ship ‘Admiral Vinogradov’ which arrived in Sri Lanka on 07th March, left the port of Colombo today (10th March 2020).

During her four – day goodwill visit in the island, the crew members took part in several programmes organized by Sri Lanka Navy. These programmes also paved the way to explore new spheres for enhancing mutual cooperation between two navies. Meanwhile, the officers and sailors of ‘Admiral Vinogradov’ were grateful to the Navy for those opportunities.

Before the departure, a group of officers of ‘Admiral Vinogradov’ called on Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe and held a cordial discussion. Mementoes were also exchanged to mark the importance of this occasion.

On successful completion of its four-day tour, the Russian Navy ship ‘Admiral Vinogradov’ left the port of Colombo where the Navy bade customary farewell to the departing ship.
