Navy sterilizes Jaya Container Terminal at Colombo harbour

As another step of navy's sterilization programme against the spreading of new coronavirus in the country, Jaya Container Terminal at Colombo harbour was sterilized by Navy on 20th March 2020.

Under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Siva, Navy’s Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Unit has taken number of measures to control the spreading of new coronavirus. Accordingly, SL Navy which assisted to sterilize many premises in the Colombo harbour which has been a crucial commercial hub in the country, following the standard operational procedures, sterilized Jaya Container Terminal premises including its Administration Block and other office premises providing its servants a safe working environment.

SL Navy has determined to continue this sterilization programme further to protect specially this kind of places which would directly influence the island's economy.
