Drinking water and dry ration distributed as part of Naval Social Responsibility initiative

The Navy conducted a social responsibility programme to distribute drinking water and dry ration among religious places and poor families in areas belonging to the North Central Naval Command on 26th and 27th March 2020.

Under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, this programme was conducted with the intention of sustaining the routine life of poor community, amidst looming threat of COVID-19 pandemic. Accordingly, this magnanimous deed had been organized under the supervision of Commander North Central Naval Area, Rear Admiral Lalith Dissanayake. Safe drinking water needed for the public had been provided by means of a mobile Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant of the Navy.

Meanwhile, the Navy's social responsibility initiative help to maintain the routine life of needy families who are unable to meet their daily needs.
