Navy carries out disinfection programme at Zahira College-Puttalam

As an extension of sterilization programmes carried out by Navy to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus in the country, Zahira College premises in Puttalam was disinfected, today (30th March 2020).

In line with the government’s coordinated mechanism to control the spread of the new coronavirus in the country, SL Navy conducted this sterilization programme at Zahira College premises in Puttalam, today. On the instruction of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, the sterilization programme was conducted by the Navy’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Unit.

The CBRN Unit executed the task covering all areas of the school premises, following the proper guidelines for sanitization and disinfection. Meanwhile, the Navy is taking all possible measures to enhance the government’s mechanism to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
