Navy distributes dry rations among community on Analathivu Island

Sri Lanka Navy on 30th March 2020 conducted a programme to distribute dry rations among community on Analathivu Island in Jaffna.

Sri Lanka Navy has been conducting a wide range of programmes in the country under the guidance of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, to further strengthen the government's efforts to control the COVID – 19 outbreak. Going by these initiatives, a programme to distribute dry rations among community on Analathivu Island in Jaffna was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Chief of Staff and Commander Northern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Kapila Samaraweera. As part of this timely initiative over 500 essential dry ration packs were distributed among community in the area.

Further, Navy will continue to conduct similar social responsibility programmes to help people facing difficulties following the imposition of curfew.
