Navy held two persons for breaching curfew

Navy apprehended two persons who breached the curfew, during a foot patrol carried out in the area from Arugambay to Koththukal, on 31st March 2020.

In a situation where curfew has been declared all over the country to control the disastrous atmosphere and to ensure the safety of the people, two persons who breached the curfew regulations were apprehended by a team of Naval personnel attached to the Southeastern Naval Command on 31st March 2020. The two suspects who were riding a motor bike, were taken into custody by naval personnel on patrol from Arugambay to Koththukal. They are residents of Pothuvil area aged 20 and 27. The suspects along with the motor bike were handed over to Pothuvil Police for onward action.

Further, Navy will apprehend the persons who act without any responsibility breaching curfew regulations in a situation where that must be the sense of duty and responsibility of the people to assist the government’s campaigns conducted in view of controlling the spread of new coronavirus to make a healthy environment for whole population in the country.
