Navy develops Nevil Fernando hospital for examinations of suspected persons to coronavirus affection

Sri Lanka Navy commenced to put up a location for examining blood and saliva of suspected persons to coronavirus affection and installing a CCTV system at the ward for the suspected pregnant mothers to coronavirus affection, in Nevil Fernando hospital, today (02nd April 2020).

Considering the prevailing situation caused by the coronavirus in the country, required facilities to examine the blood and saliva of suspected persons to coronavirus affection, is under construction at Nevil Fernando hospital too. Accordingly, converting a place in the hospital to provide such facilities and installation of CCTV system to the ward for the suspected pregnant mothers to coronavirus affection, enabling them to communicate with doctors, was commenced by Navy today. This project is operated by civil engineering and electrical engineering naval personnel attached to the Western Naval Command.

Naval personnel engaged in this project have thrown their full weigh for ongoing tasks to provide said facilities to the hospital as soon as possible and Navy is extending the maximum cooperation to the government’s coordinated mechanism to control the corona virus in the country.
