Navy continues more disinfection programmes

As a preventive measure of the spreading of novel coronavirus in the country, more disinfection programmes were conducted by Sri Lanka Navy during 3rd to 5th April 2020, at Colombo National Hospital, Colombo North Teaching Hospital-Ragama and Bank premises in Colombo Fort area.

These sterilization programmes were carried out by Navy’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Unit, following the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva. All areas inside these premises were successfully sterilized in accordance with proper guidelines for sanitization and disinfection, to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Further, Navy is aware of undertaking continuous sterilization programmes in public places which are surround by people, to control spread of pandemic virus.
