Sri Lanka Navy renovated the Intensive Care Unit of the Colombo National Hospital on 23^rd March 2020, with the objective of expanding necessary facilities for the treatment of patients contracted novel coronavirus in the country.

Twenty six (26) more individuals who completed their quarantine period at the quarantine centre established at Boossa Naval Base, left for their homes on 08^th, 10^th and 11^th April 2020.

During the first quarter of the year 2020, Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) of Sri Lanka Navy in high seas, producing successful results, were able to seize foreign vessels carrying large consignments of heroin, crystal methamphetamine (ice) and ketamine and apprehend a number of drug traffickers.
