Celebration of Sinhala and Tamil New Year at Naval Quarantine Centre in Boossa

In view of the dawn of Sinhala and Tamil New Year, the New Year at the Naval Quarantine Centre in Boossa on 13th April 2020, organized a milk boiling ceremony and musical evening

The inmates who are far and away from their near and dear ones, remaining at the Naval Quarantine Centre in Boossa, joined these occasions of milk boiling ceremony and musical evening organized by the Navy to celebrate the dawn of Sinhala and Tamil New Year in a simple manner. The event was attended by Deputy Area Commander of Southern Naval Command, officers, medical staff and a group of sailors. The inmates expressed their gratitude to the Navy for organizing these events that helped to lift their spirits.

Fifty seven (57) persons have left for their homes from the Naval Quarantine Centre in Boossa till date. Meanwhile, the Navy is determined to provide the inmates the best possible service in a bid to give them proper quarantine process before releasing them from the quarantine centre.
