Navy receives wide range of donations from Good Neighbors Sri Lanka and Ceylon Kisses

The institutes of Good Neighbors Sri Lanka and Ceylon Kisses made a wide range of donations to the Sri Lanka Navy, in support of its efforts to control the spread of new coronavirus in the country. As such, the donation of face masks, hand gloves, sanitizing liquids, protective clothing as well as 50,000 tea bags took place at the Western Naval Command Headquarters on 05th and 06th May 2020.

The Navy is constantly receiving material support from various agencies and organizations for the programmes being undertaken to control the spread of novel coronavirus in the country. Accordingly, the Navy on 05th May 2020 received 50,000 tea bags from Ceylon Kisses and a stock of face masks, hand gloves, sanitizing liquids and protective clothing worth around Rs. 650,000 from Good Neighbors Sri Lanka on 06th May 2020.

On behalf of the Sri Lanka Navy, Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe took over these donations. Commander Western Naval Area also expressed his gratitude to the representatives of Good Neighbors Sri Lanka and Ceylon Kisses for making these donations in this hour of need.
