The Navy, in line with the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, organized a series of programmes to further strengthen drug prevention activities.

The Navy recovered explosives used for illegal fishing in a dinghy, while conducting a search operation at the Erakkandi beach area in Trincomalee on 01^st July 2020.

Another 06 naval personnel who had contracted COVID-19 and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from them after gaining full recovery from the virus, confirmed by PCR tests, on 01^st July 2020.
