Navy assists apprehension of 02 persons for possession of 02 locally made guns

The Navy nabbed 02 suspects for possession of 02 locally made guns, during a search conducted with the Police in the general area of Nochchimunai, Kilinochchi on 05^th July 2020.

On receipt of information to the Navy, naval personnel of North Central Naval Command in coordination with the Mulankavil Police searched a house in Nochchimunai, Kilinochchi and found these 02 illegal locally made guns. Two suspects at the house were also taken into custody in connection to this incident.

The apprehended persons were identified as 22 year old residents of Pallawarayankaddu and Thunukkai areas. The accused along with illegal guns were handed over to the Mulankavil Police for onward investigation.
