Another RO plant declared open for community use

The 750th Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant established at Siyambalawa village in Nikaweratiya under the directives of Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, was declared open using the internet technology, today ( 13th July 2020).

In a bid to provide safe drinking water for people in the area, this RO plant was established at Siyambalawa village in Nikaweratiya under the patronage of Ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine using funds of Cooperate Social Responsibility Project of SL Navy and naval labour. This new RO plant facility which is capable of providing the daily drinking water requirement of the residents in the area, was declared open by Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva using the internet technology.

The Navy partnering with the Prevention of Chronic Kidney Disease, is determined to install more RO plants to quench the drinking water requirement of the general public.
