Rear Admiral Saman Perera assumes command of Southern Naval Command
Rear Admiral Saman Perera assumed office as Commander Southern Naval Area at the Command Headquarters today (13th January 2023).
Before taking over duties of the new appointment, Rear Admiral Saman Perera was at the Naval Headquarters, discharging duties as the Director General Personnel. Upon his arrival at the Southern Naval Command, the incoming Commander was received in compliance with naval traditions. Subsequently, his predecessor Rear Admiral Harindra Ekanayake handed over duties and responsibilities of the command to Rear Admiral Saman Perera.
Meanwhile, the Southern Naval Command bade farewell to the outgoing Area Commander in precision with naval traditions.
