In conjunction with the sixth anniversary of SLNS Sayurala, a beach cleaning programme was conducted at the Hambantota beach today (25th July 2023). The programme was held under the auspices of the Commanding Officer of SLNS Sayurala, Captain Prasanna Hettiarachchi.

The Global Maritime Crime Programme (GMCP) of United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) organised a special Inshore Patrol Craft Handling Course for lady officers who are from various maritime law enforcement agencies. The programme commenced at the Naval and Maritime Academy in Trincomalee on 24th July 2023.
