The Commandant Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA), Trincomalee, Commodore Buddhika Liyanagamage officially presented a copy of NMA’s annual professional publication named ‘The Porthole’ to the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera at the Navy Headquarters today (01st January 2024).

Sri Lanka Navy took over the customary duty of the hoisting of National Flag at the Galle Face and Ceremonial Guard at the President's House from the Sri Lanka Army. The Navy assumed those responsibilities at the Galle Face and Navy Headquarters on 31st December 2023 and today (01st January 2024).

A solemn occasion to mark the commencement of duties of the year 2024 was held under the patronage of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera at the Navy Headquarters this morning (01st January 2024).
