A delegation led by the Commander Joint Agency Task Force Operation Sovereign Borders, Rear Admiral Brett R. Sonter of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera at the Navy Headquarters in Colombo today (13th December 2024).

Commodore Sujeewa Weerasuriya assumed duties as Acting Director General Services of the Sri Lanka Navy at the office of Director General Services, Navy Headquarters today (13th December 2024).

To commemorate the Sri Lanka Navy's 74th Anniversary, a blood donation drive was held at the Navy General Hospital, Colombo on 12th December 2024.

The graduation ceremony of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Sapugaskanda Course No 18 was held at Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre on 12th December 2024. The event, honored by the presence of the Hon. Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), as the Chief Guest, also saw the attendance of the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Rear Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, who represented the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera.
