The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda received blessings from the Archbishop of Colombo, His Eminence Cardinal, Most Rev. Dr. Malcolm Ranjith, during a visit to the Archbishop’s House in Colombo.

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda visited Balangoda Sri Dharmananda Viharaya and paid his obeisance to the Mahanayake Thero of Sri Lanka Amarapura Maha Nikaya, Most Ven. Karagoda Uyangoda Maithri Murthi Maha Nayaka Thero on 01 Feb 25.

On the sidelines of the 77th Independence Day celebrations, the Sri Lanka Navy is scheduled to honour the nation with a 25-Gun Salute onboard SLNS Sayura, off the Galle Face at 12.00 noon on 04 Feb 25.

Rear Admiral Kosala Warnakulasooriya who was newly appointed as Commander Southern Naval Area, assumed duties at the Command Headquarters today (03 Feb 25).
