The Special Boat Squadron (SBS) of the Sri Lanka Navy conducted a Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) demonstration on 05 Mar 25, at Dikkowita fisheries harbour. The event was aimed at showcasing VBSS capabilities to delegates from the Indian Ocean Rim Academic Group (IORAG) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

The Indian Naval Ship (INS) Kuthar which arrived in Sri Lanka on 03 Mar 25 on an official visit, departed the island today (06 Mar). The Sri Lanka Navy bade customary farewell to the departing ship at the Port of Colombo, following naval traditions.

The Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) Aslat which arrived in Sri Lanka on a goodwill visit on 05 Mar 25, departed the island today (06 Mar). The Sri Lanka Navy honoured the departing ship with a traditional farewell at the Port of Colombo, adhering to established naval traditions.

In line with its ongoing dedication to community service, the Sri Lanka Navy organized a clean-up initiative at Morakewa Maha Vidyalaya in Horowpothana on 04 Mar 25. This effort was part of the broader "Clean Sri Lanka" campaign, a nationwide project aimed at revitalizing schools across the country.

In a move to bolster educational resources for undergraduates at the Regional Centre Galle of Ocean University, the Sri Lanka Navy donated a Yamaha 40 HP Outboard Motor (OBM) cross section. The handover ceremony, held on 04 Mar 25, was graced by Commander Southern Naval Area.
