The Commander of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM), Admiral Samuel J. Paparo met with the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda at the Navy Headquarters in Colombo today (21 Mar 25).

Highlighting its steadfast commitment to social responsibility and empowerment, the Sri Lanka Navy engaged in fostering supportive school environment initiatives at Buddhist Primary School, Kadawatha, Sri Pemananda Maha Vidyalaya, Kadawatha, Mayadunna Primary School, Parakandeniya and Embaraluwa Mihindu Junior School, Weliweriya on 18 Mar 25. The events were part of a countrywide programme focused on cultivating an educational environment that promotes national values, social ethics, and environmental sustainability, under the theme "A School Full of Happiness."

Demonstrating its continued commitment to social responsibility and empowerment, the Sri Lanka Navy conducted an environmental enhancement initiative at Mullivaikkal West Junior School in Mullaitivu on 15 Mar 25. The initiative was launched as part of the nationwide programme aimed at fostering an educational atmosphere that upholds national values, incorporates social ethics, and prioritizes environmental sustainability, centered on the theme "A School Full of Happiness."

A Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) delegation headed by the Commandant, Major General Shantha Hewage on 17 Mar 25 embarked on a visit to the Western Naval Command, as part of an academic event of DSCSC Course No 19.
