Upon successful completion of the 39th Drill Instructor Course, 05 junior sailors passed out at the main parade ground of the Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA) on 29 May 25. The event was graced by the Commandant NMA, Rear Admiral Rohan Joseph, as the Chief Guest.

The Sri Lanka Navy successfully wrapped up a two-week regional training programme, organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The programme featured two key training modules: the UNODC’s Regional Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS) course, and a Maritime Domain Awareness session. The training took place at the Special Boat Squadron Headquarters (SBSHQ) and Sober Island Resort in Trincomalee. The certificate awarding ceremony was held under the patronage of Commanding Officer SBS on 30 May 25.

The English Camp Pilot Project – 01/2025, held at the Volunteer Naval Force (VNF) Headquarters in Welisara for senior sailors of the Volunteer Naval Force, came to a successful end on 30 May 25. The closing event was presided over by the Commandant Volunteer Naval Force, Rear Admiral HNS Perera.

In a yet another heartwarming act of social responsibility, the Sri Lanka Navy organized a blood donation campaign on 30 May 25 at the Navy General Hospital, Colombo.
