Rear Admiral Buddhika Liyanagamage officially assumed duties as Commander Northern Naval Area in a formal ceremony held at the Command Headquarters on 22 Aug 25.

In line with its ongoing Naval Social Responsibility initiatives, the Sri Lanka Navy successfully conducted a psychological counseling and career guidance programme for students of Pottuvil Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya in Ampara. The event, held on 21 Aug 25, at the Auditorium of SLNS Mahanaga, was organized by the Southeastern Naval Command.

The Sri Lanka Navy, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Trincomalee Town, organized a health awareness programme at the Trincomalee District Secretariat on 20 Aug 25.
