The Insignia and Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Qualifying Course No. 06 was held on 27 Aug 25 at the EOD Training School in Maho. The occasion was graced by the Commandant Naval Infantry, Rear Admiral Nishantha Ranaweera, as the Chief Guest.

The United States Ship (USS) Tulsa (LCS 16) which called at the Port of Colombo, concluded her stay in Sri Lanka and departed the island today (29 Aug 25). In keeping with time- honoured naval traditions, the Sri Lanka Navy extended a customary farewell to the departing vessel at the Port of Colombo.

In a significant step towards addressing safe drinking water scarcity of communities, a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant, set up by the Sri Lanka Navy, was declared open in the village of Karabewa, Anuradhapura on 26 Aug 25.
