The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, presented cash prize to the winners of the creative competitions associated with the 49th edition of the ‘Sayurusara’ magazine, at the Navy Headquarters on 08 Oct 25. The competition recognized the creative talents of naval personnel and their family members in poetry, painting, and photography.

A meeting to address challenges related to maritime security and fisheries management along the Northwestern coastal belt was convened at the Northwestern Naval Command on 02 Oct 25, under the patronage of the Commander Northwestern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Varuna Ferdinandusz.

A special meeting aimed at exploring collaborative solutions to existing challenges concerning maritime and coastal issues in the Eastern Province was held on 02 Oct 25 at the Naval Dockyard, Trincomalee. The meeting was convened under the patronage of the Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Ravindra Tissera with the participation of heads of government agencies operating in the province.
