In a significant national initiative under the "Clean Sri Lanka" programme, the Sri Lanka Navy, at the directives of the Ministry of Defence, contributed to an ecosystem enrichment programme for wild elephants. The three-day event took place from 10 to 12 Oct 25 in the Tabbowa Reservoir area.

Held under the patronage of Rear Admiral Jagath Kumara, Commander Western Naval Area, the event saw the Naval Fleet Command emerge triumphant, clinching the championship title with an exceptional performance.
