The graduation ceremony of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Sapugaskanda Course No. 19 was held at Nelum Pokuna Theatre on 16 Dec 25. The event, honoured by the presence of Hon. Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, the Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, as the Chief Guest, also saw the attendance of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda.

The Rules of the Road (ROR), Rigging, Semaphore and Flashing Competition, organized by the Naval Fleet Command, was held at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium of Naval and Maritime Academy on 14 Dec 25. The event was graced by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, as the Chief Guest. The event was organized with a view to honing the professionalism of naval personnel serving in ships and craft of the Navy.

In a commendable act of service, Navy personnel from the Northwestern Naval Command volunteered to donate blood at a donation campaign held on 15 Dec 25, at the Naval Hospital in the Northwestern Naval Command.

Under the Naval Social Responsibility project, a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant was declared open for community use at Mahinda Maha Vidyalaya in Kauduluwewa, Polonnaruwa on 15 Dec 25.

The Sri Lanka Navy conducted a blood donation campaign at the Naval Hospital of the Northern Naval Command on 06 Dec 25. The initiative was organized as part of the Navy’s 75th anniversary commemorations, which encompass a series of programmes that highlight the organisation’s commitment to social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and ethical values.
